Scenic is Clothing-Optional
It has been awhile since the Scenic blog was last updated. Part of the reason for that is because of other obligations but we also have to note that use and access is going very well and there are few problems that can be effectively addressed on the blog. There is, however, one problem needs to be addressed:
Scenic Hot Springs is Clothing-Optional. You are not required to wear clothing . . . nor are you required to be nude. It is optional and no one has the right to badger, coerce or force you otherwise. When you request permission to visit Scenic, you are required to read and agree to the Conditions of Access (in the sidebar) prior to permission being granted. One of those conditions is acknowledgement that you may (probably will) experience nudity on the site. If you cannot deal with nudity then I suggest you do not request permission to visit Scenic. Rent(or buy) a hot tub and soak in your preferred way in your own backyard. Do not impose your conservatism or cultural values on those who simply wish to enjoy a serene, natural soak amongst the beauty of Scenic. Stay home instead.
Soaking, sans clothing, is the traditional way of enjoying natural hot springs. There are a lot of therapeutic benefits in this tradition and we will maintain the freedom of visitors to enjoy the springs this way. Do not assume that you can arrive and badger any other permitted visitors to put on clothing or leave so that you will not experience nudity. They have every right to be where they are as long as they abide by the Conditions of Access.
